Lunch time hike at Iwakuni castle. There are several trails around the castle besides the service road trail. Today we parked by the ropeway station and started our hike at the Japanese garden.
We ended up climbing the ropeway path, which is fairy steep and joins the paved path by the ropeway, and we returned by the trail around the castle. We walked about 3 miles and climbed 55 floors. Unfortunately, my tracking app did not work, so I do not have a map of our loop. However, you can find a full map of castle trails on Iwakuni trails (http://iwakunitrails.weebly.com/). We plan on returning and hiking a longer loop. Hopefully I can get it tracked down for you.
